Mill Pond Village, a mixed-use neighborhood surrounding a historic 3.7-acre pond located between Marine Drive and the Columbia River outside of Astoria, Oregon, demonstrates a successful cleanup of the ground and water contamination from former wood processing. Steve Coyle and team joined developer Venerable Properties, Inc., to design and develop a critical link between Astoria’s historic downtown, the hillside neighborhoods above the river, and new growth along the Columbia.

The site offers a mix of housing that includes “fishing village” style waterfront cottages, alley-accessed single family homes and duplexes, live/work units, and apartments above retail.
